- Colors and POW/MIA Flag presented
- The Prayer, Pledge and Preamble were conducted
- Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted
- Approval Motion by Joe Grubb, John Kratzer Second, approved
- Motion approved to send out Month of August Minutes
- New members attending included:
- Jim Wells Chaplain ALR and Commander of Sons of the American Legion
- Finance

- From DEC, Posts are being scammed by people asking for (fraudulent) help from Emergency Funds. Verifications needed, and do not give cash.
- The December DEC will be held here at the VFW on 15DEC18
- New membership goals were discussed
- Per Joe Grubb, the Legacy Run brought about $15,000, to be presented to National

- Approval motion for Christmas party on 08DEC18 by Ted Ritts, Joe Grubb Second, passed
- Jim Wells asking for motion for monetary donation from Post to Sons of the American Legion. Jim Poe motioned for a $300 donation, Ken Barnes, Second, Passed
- Approval motion by George Snell for hotel expenses reimbursement to Post Commander and ALR President for Department Convention. Discussion for hotel expenses up to $300. Ken Barnes Second, passed
- Ken Barnes motioned for future Department Conventions that the Post pays hotel expenses up to $300 for a Delegate. Also suggested ALR pays for their President, and Sons of the American Legion pays for their Commander. Discussion is that ALR and Sons of the American Legion decide their own reimbursements, if any. - Joe Grubb announced the VFW needs donations, and has fliers for various causes

- George Snell brought up Petfest festival in Old Town Spring was looking for a veteran-owned group that trains dogs for Veteran companion animals.
- A Flag Retirement Ceremony is needed, discussion on date and location is tabled
- Liaisons needed for area high school JROTC programs
- Closing prayer, POW/MIA Flag, and Colors Retired; meeting adjourned at 2000.
